About GatherGrid

One place to plan your night out in Michigan.

GatherGrid is a Michigan-focused events and experiences platform. We aggregate live events — concerts, festivals, craft shows, farmers markets, food festivals, auto shows, live music, theater, and family events — and present them as a unified discovery surface with calendar, map, search, and a vendor directory. Our editorial focus is the full event-night experience, not just ticket discovery.

What we do

We pull together the public events happening across Michigan — from regional newspaper calendars, convention & visitor bureaus, venue websites, and partner APIs — and we make them easy to find on one page, one map, and one calendar.

On every event page, we try to answer the questions you actually have when you’re planning a night out: where is it, when, how do I get tickets, where should I eat first, and how do I get there? That’s why our event pages put a ticket CTA alongside dining and transportation links — so you can plan the whole evening from a single page instead of bouncing between five tabs.

Where we focus

We’re built for Michigan. Our deepest coverage is in Detroit and Eastern Michigan, Grand Rapids and Western Michigan, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Traverse City. We pay special attention to farmers markets and craft shows — the kinds of small, local, recurring events that get under-served by national ticketing platforms but matter most to the communities around them.

We also welcome out-of-state visitors planning a Michigan trip — concerts, festivals, themed weekends — and we try to present a visitor’s view of a city that’s as useful as a local’s.

Our partners

We work with ticket and experience partners so you can buy your tickets, book a table, and call a ride right from the event page. These partnerships are how GatherGrid pays for itself — when you complete a purchase through one of our outbound links, partners pay us a small commission at no additional cost to you. We are transparent about which links are affiliate links and include a disclosure near every one. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of partners and the data we share with them.

Ticketmaster

Eventbrite

The team

GatherGrid is operated by Modular Organization Studio LLC, a small, independent team led by Ed Hocking. We’re based in Michigan and we use the platform ourselves — for our own Friday nights, our own farmers-market Saturdays, and our own festival weekends.

Because we’re small, we read every message that comes through our feedback form. If something on the site is broken, confusing, or could be better, please tell us.

How we make money

GatherGrid earns revenue in three ways:

  • Affiliate commissions when you buy a ticket, book a table, or call a ride through one of our outbound links. See our Privacy Policy and the disclosure that appears next to each affiliate CTA.
  • Vendor and coordinator subscriptions and per-post fees. Event coordinators can post events, and vendors can list products and reach event-goers, through paid tiers described on our pricing page.
  • Featured-listing fees when an event organizer chooses to promote an event at the top of relevant search results.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run ad networks on the site.
